One relevant victory of MeToo University has been the cocreation of the concept of Isolating Gender Violence (IGV) in each inclusion in legislations of Parliaments and in the regulation of Scientific Associations and other organizations.

The IGV was included by the Catalan Parliament with the name Second Order Violence. The following point has been included in the law 17/2020 of 22 December: Second Order Violence. It consists of physical or psychological violence, reprisals, humiliation and persecution exercised against people who support victims of male violence. It includes acts that impede the prevention, detection, care and recovery of women in a situation of gender-based violence.

The Law for the equality of women and men. Article 50, point 4, states the following: “Gender-based violence against women is also considered to be violence against the people who support the victims, as well as violence against their close or affective environment, especially against their sons and daughters or other family members, with the intention of afflicting the woman”.
